Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 2026

At Liam Rebel Tattoos, I am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of my clients. This policy outlines how I collect, protect, and use your personal information when you book a session or use this website.

1. Information I Collect

To provide a professional and safe tattooing service, I collect the following data:

  • Personal Details: Your name, email address, and phone number provided during the booking process.
  • Identification: Verification of a valid photo ID (Passport or Driving License) to confirm you are 18 or older.
  • Medical Information: Disclosure of relevant medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, blood-borne viruses) to ensure your safety during the procedure.
  • Media: Photographs or videos of your finished tattoo for portfolio and social media use.

2. How Your Data is Used

Your information is used strictly for:

  • Booking Management: Confirming appointments, sending digital mockups, and providing aftercare instructions.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensuring all clients meet the UK legal age requirement of 18.
  • Health & Safety: Tailoring the tattoo process to your specific medical needs.
  • Marketing & Promotions: I may occasionally use your email address to send exclusive offers, discounted vouchers, or studio promotions. These communications are rare (typically only a few times per year), and you have the right to opt out at any time.

3. Nyx – Social Media AI Assistant

When you message the Liam Rebel Tattoos business account on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or WhatsApp, your messages are answered by Nyx—an AI assistant that acts as Liam's personal assistant for enquiries. Nyx is powered by an external AI provider and helps with questions about pricing, booking, and studio information.

What we collect: The message content you send, your platform user ID, and (for Messenger/Instagram) your first name from your profile so Nyx can greet you by name. Messages are stored to provide conversation context and for audit purposes.

How we use it: Your message is processed to generate a helpful reply. Nyx does not receive your full contact details—only minimal context such as whether you have an upcoming booking. Your data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing. If you ask, Nyx will disclose that it is an AI assistant.

4. Data Retention & Security

  • Private Sanctuary: Your data is handled within my private, appointment-only studio environment, ensuring a high level of privacy.
  • Secure Platforms: This website is built on a modern, secure stack. Booking and payments are processed through Cal.com and Stripe—industry-standard platforms with encrypted transactions. Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database with access controls. All communications are transmitted over HTTPS.
  • Confidentiality: I do not sell or trade your personal information with third parties.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies in line with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You can choose to accept all cookies (for full functionality) or strictly necessary only.

Strictly necessary. These are required for the site to work (e.g. security, load balancing, essential form behaviour). They do not require your consent and cannot be switched off.

Functional (non-essential). We use these only if you choose “Accept All”:

  • Booking calendar (Cal.com): So you can see live availability and book sessions. Cal.com may set its own cookies when the embed is loaded.
  • Nyx chatbot: Session storage and cookies are used to run the assistant and remember your conversation (and, if you continue after the first message, your name and email for lead capture). No chat data is used for marketing without your consent.

If you choose “Strictly Necessary Only”, the booking calendar and chatbot will not load until you change your mind. You can update your choice at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.

6. Your Rights

Under the UK Equality Act 2010 and data protection regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access & Correction: Request a copy of the data I hold or ask for inaccuracies to be corrected.
  • Erasure: Request the deletion of your personal data when it is no longer required for legal or insurance purposes.
  • Opt-Out: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link provided in the email. Additionally, if you prefer not to be photographed for social media, please inform me at the start of your session.

7. Contact & Complaints

If you have any questions about this policy, please contact me directly:

  • Email: liam@liamrebeltattoos.com
  • Address: 3A Station Road, Chapeltown, Sheffield, S35 2XE
  • Escalation: If a dispute regarding your data cannot be resolved, you may contact the relevant ombudsman or the British Tattoo Artists Federation.
